Pantala requirements

Pantala requires an iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Motion tracking relies on ARKit and is not available in the iOS Simulator.

Tracking is limited or unavailable

Point the rear camera toward a well-lit room with visible surfaces and texture. Avoid aiming directly at a blank wall, bright screen, or dark space. Tracking runs only while a clip is open.

A zoomed clip looks soft

Digital reframing uses pixels from the source video. For the best result, use footage with more resolution than the delivery format—for example, a 4K source for a 1080p export.

How do I make a difficult move?

Switch playback to ½× before recording. Perform the move slowly and Pantala will play the take back at normal speed. You can also constrain movement to zoom only, pan only, or a horizontal rail.

How do I export?

Open a recorded take and choose Export. Save a rendered clip to Photos or export editable motion for DaVinci Resolve. Final Cut Pro and Premiere XML exports are also available as best-effort mappings.

Purchases and refunds

Pantala is free to download. Recording and reviewing takes is always free; the first five unique take exports are included. Unlimited Exports is a one-time in-app purchase. App Store billing, receipts, Family Sharing, and refund decisions are handled by Apple. Use Apple’s purchase history and Report a Problem service for transaction support.

Bug reports, fixes, and feature requests

We welcome useful reports and feedback. Support is provided on a commercially reasonable, best-efforts basis. We do not guarantee a response time, a fix, compatibility with every device or media file, or implementation of any requested feature. We may provide fixes, enhancements, new features, compatibility updates, or other changes in future versions at our discretion.

Before contacting us

• Confirm that iOS and the app are up to date.
• Restart the app and, if needed, restart the iPhone.
• Confirm that required Camera or Photos permissions are enabled.
• Preserve the original clip and a backup of important work before troubleshooting or reinstalling.
